Kuala Lumpur: The National Alliance (PN) mentioned that the program of MyBrain15 will be back on track through the commence of the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia.
According to the minster, Noraini Ahmad said that the program will be implemented using a new approach that currently in the process of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU).
“The program of MyBrain15 already implemented in RMK-10 and RMK-11. MyBrain15 had successfully sponsored a total of 56,910 students who taking postgraduate programs. Till June 2020, there are a total of 34,207 students who graduated.”
With the achievement mentioned above, the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia wishes to implement a new MyBrain program with the focus of sponsoring postgraduates that previously delayed from MyBrain15.
“Therefore, the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia hopes to implement the program for a longer duration along RMK-12.”
“The proposal of the new program already been submitted and currently in the stage of review and confirmation.”
“If the approval been confirmed by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), the new implementation of the program will be improving the academic intellectual,” mentioned in the House of Representatives today.
She made the statement during the wrap-up session at the committee meeting for law proposition and Expenditure Reallocation for the Ministry of Higher Education for the year 2020.
Earlier on, Ahmad Fadli Shaari (PAS-Pasir Mas) and Sabri Azit (PAS-Jerai) requested the government to inform the current status for MyBrain whether it will be continued under the order of the National Alliance after the delay of the PH government.
In 2018, during the administration of Alliance of Hope (PH), the Ministry of Higher Education once mentioned that the program of MyBrain15 is an education sponsorship scheme provided by the ministry for Bachelor studies and Doctorate studies but it has delayed due to lack of funding. – Free Malaysia Today
