KUALA LUMPUR: Jeweller Tomei Holdings Bhd, whose share price had surged in recent days, has prompted Bursa Malaysia Securities to freeze the upper limit at RM1.53.
In a statement issued on Friday, the regulator said according to the rules of Bursa Malaysia Securities, the share price would be frozen as it had been trading at the static limit upper price for two consecutive days
Its share price had surged from 52 sen on July 27 to RM1.53 on Thursday, as investors chased the stock when gold price hit fresh record highs.
Another jeweller, Poh Kong has also seen its share price rally.
At 10.27am, it was trading at RM1.75, up 36 sen with 34.80 million shares done.–TheStar
