Covid-19: Positive cases in Indonesia exceed 200,000

JAKARTA (Sept 8): Indonesia recorded 3,046 Covid-19 new positive cases within 24 hours, bringing the total number to 200,035.

Based on data from its government’s official website, www.covid19.go.id today, 90,952 patients were still being monitored for the viral infection during that period.

Between noon yesterday and noon today, 100 more fatalities were reported, bringing the cumulative number to 8,230.

Jakarta recorded the highest total number of positive cases in the republic with 48,393 including 1,014 new cases.

East Java Province reported 2,608 fatalities in total, the highest, followed by Jakarta (1,317), Central Java (1,096), South Sulawesi (373) and the rest of the provinces.–The Edge
