Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan is back in a new drama and stans are screaming.
The 43-year-old actor is currently starring in a Chinese romantic comedy titled “Count Your Lucky Stars” where he plays an editor-in-chief whose luck had been swapped with a fashion designer.
The series had been in many discussions even before its premiere because of the 20-year age gap between Yan and his co-star Shen Yue.
I was a high school junior when Meteor Garden became a sensation in Asia. Everyone knew who F4 were.

Yan first became a heartthrob for many Southeast Asian viewers back in 2001 when he starred in the Taiwanese rom-com drama Meteor Garden as the rich bad boy Dao Ming Si.
It also skyrocketed the popularity of boy band F4, which Yan was a part of alongside his Meteor Garden co-stars.
One of his iconic lines from Meteor Garden, “If apologies were enough, we wouldn’t need the police,” even makes a feature in Count Your Lucky Stars!
Ironically, Yan’s co-star for Count Your Lucky Stars Yue also starred in a 2018 adaptation of Meteor Garden as the main character.
If you’re interested in witnessing Yan’s abs for yourself, you can watch the series on the distributor channel on Youtube.
